TO THE GUY WHO HELPED ME IN MY TIMES OF NEED

We haven’t spoken in a long while, but I just wanted to thank you for the role you played in my life. I was a young lost girl craving attention and in need of love. At least in hindsight that’s what it was. I was going through a phase where I had no father figure present in my life and the lack of one really started taking a toll on me. I prayed to God asking for someone to come into my life and show me the love I craved. Thinking back, you weren’t quite what I was expecting. When I prayed to God for someone, I was thinking about a boyfriend to be honest. Which you were, you were my guy friend. You listened to me whenever I needed someone to talk to, you helped me work out so many problems that I encountered. Most of all you helped me with my insecurities. You always reminded me that I was beautiful and that as I got older that beauty will only grow.  You believed in me when I couldn’t believe in myself.  When I refused to see I was worth something you always reminded me that I was worth so much more than I’d ever realize. You taught me the importance of self love. It’s still taking me sometime, but you always reminded me about all the things I was blessed with that I should always appreciate. We had some good times, we had our bad times but you never stopped showing me the love you had for me. I can not thank you enough for that love you had for me. I can not thank you enough for taking the trust I had instilled in you and never breaking it. I can not thank you enough for being my confidant and for always being available whenever I needed you. I can not thank you enough for being my first love. You have given me such a great example of the love I want and deserve. You always told me to never settle for just anything or anyone because you saw the potential of what I would become. You saw in me this beautiful young woman I would grow to be and all that I would accomplish in my life. Every single time I lost sight of my potential, there you were helping me focus. You have impacted my life more than you may know. Every single time I lost sight of myself, there you were reminding me all the good I had. You were honestly one of the best things that has ever happened to me and I can’t help but be grateful for everything you’ve done to help me get this far. I hope with where I am currently in life I have done you proud, I still have a long way to go but I couldn’t have done it without your love and guidance. I’ll always have love for you and appreciate the relationship we had. I will continue to pray for your well being and that you are continually blessed in your life. Thank you for coming into my life when I really needed help. I was truly blessed when God sent you to me. ♥
