How to + organize your planner
With the start of the new year is time to organize your planner. I don’t know about you but I like to plan out my schedule for the month and make small updates during the week or as needed. Here’s just a few tips of how I got about organizing my planner.
I bought mine from TJ Maxx because I was looking for something specific. But you don’t have to! If you’re a DIY person just grab whatever type of journal you want to use for as your planner.
I like to have some color so I try to have a variation of pens to choose from.
My planner came with stickers to use so I’ll be using those to liven up my planner

With my planners I like to write pretty much every thing that I have planned. Whether it’s bills, my work schedule, family and friends birthdays or different events. I like to have them all down so I have an idea of what my month will look like. So go ahead and write out your important dates for appointments, any trips you may have, meeting dates, family coming into town, birthdays, bill dates or events and such.
My best advice for organizing your planner is to create a system that works for you. For me, I like to color code my events. For example my work schedule will be in a black ink, bill dates will be in green ink and so on. It just helps keeps thing clean but still have a splash of color. Have fun with it it doesn’t have to be fancy. All that planners require are just what you want it to be and what will work for you. If you like to cover your planners from top to bottom, go for it! If you’re a more is less person, do you!
With having my planner filled out so far this month has me feeling a lot better about the rest of the month. I feel pretty accomplished and I’d like to say this is a great way to start out the year. I hope my very simple How To + organize your planner helps you! Let me know how you did❤️ – Ness
